When you think of setting off on a Great Adventure, what comes to mind?  I’d like to bet it involves travelling somewhere.  I know that one of my Great Adventure dreams is to travel from Australia to somewhere in the Arctic Circle and to lie on the ground and look up to the Aurora Borealis.

Realistically, that is never going to happen.  Often we never get to go on those Great Adventures simply because of the cost, the time involved and many other factors and, because we are focused on such big dreams we often miss the great adventures that we have in our everyday lives. 

This morning I pulled an Oracle card for myself.  Yes the card was named Great Adventure.   Then, talking to a friend, she told me her guides had a message for me…  and a short time later another friend told me of an idea…   This was Spirit pointing me in a direction where I could be of great use within my local community.  It’s not something wild and new, it’s unlikely to involve travel, it’s a role that I am very capable of doing – I already hold all the skills needed, so it could be thought of as another volunteer job, or an opportunity.  BUT it could also be a Great Adventure!! 

Seeing something as a Great Adventure is more a matter of intention than actuality.  Doing the laundry could be a Great Adventure if you let your playful side loose as you do the task.
